About Debbie
Debbie’s Biography

As a family formation attorney, I provide services in assisted reproductive law, as well as adoption law. My goal is to empower every client to achieve his or her own vision. I hear and respond to each of my client’s individual concerns and questions to create solutions that are personally right for him or her.

I created my adoption practice in 1994 with the goal that every adoptive parent and birth parents deserve to receive services that meet their individual concerns and beliefs. I have provided services in over 1,800 adoption plans. I am a member of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys. I am also a licensed Social Worker.

In 1987, I found my home in adoption law when I was hired as an associate in a major adoption law firm. I will always be grateful for my beginnings because I became extremely knowledgeable in coordinating adoptions throughout America and formed professional relationships with extremely experienced and competent adoption attorneys and agencies. Yet, I grew to realize that birth parents and adoptive parents were treated all the same and had to fit our process. Their individual concerns and personalities were not being heard in this assembly line way of practicing in a high volume adoption practice. I wanted to provide services in tune with each clients' vision and goals. So, I left to create my own adoption practice.

I created my assisted reproductive law practice in 2010 to bring my individualized services to intended parents, gestational carriers, and egg donors. I collaborate with doctors, licensed clinical social workers, and other attorneys in the field to maintain a high quality of services.

My clients’ individual opinions, feelings, and concerns are paramount as I serve them. I assist each client in navigating through the challenging adoption or assisted reproductive technology processes while remaining in tune with them. My hope is for every client to make choices they feel is a good fit for them. It is their experience that counts during one of the most life-changing periods in their lives.
